Charges filed after family disturbances

A delinquency domestic violence charge was filed against Ashten-Michael C. Richey, 16, after his mother, Tammy L. Richey, 37, complained at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday that the teenager had threatened her with a knife while at their 230 Stephenson St., Lakeview, home.

• Bruce Fricke, 37, of Harrod, was arrested for violating a civil protection order for reportedly going to the 5966 State Route 366, Huntsville, home of Paula A. Fricke, 40, to retrieve a pickup truck at about 12:50 p.m. Saturday.

• Brooks S. Martin, 25, was charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting Jody L. Martin, 22, while at their 513 N. State St., Belle Center, home at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

• An unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge was filed against Shannon Czarnecki, 24, after her mother, Catherine S. Griffith, 45, reported at about 12:20 a.m. Monday that the daughter took her car from their 3256 Township Road 182 home earlier in the day and had not returned. Ms. Czarnecki returned while deputies were at the home.

Drug, alcohol charges filed

Linda K. Tucker, 55, of 600 Lincoln Blvd., Russells Point, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated after deputies and officers of the Russells Point Police Department responded to a 2 a.m. Sunday incident in the 400 block of Main Street in Russells Point. The woman reportedly would not tell a man who was giving her a ride home from a party where she needed to be taken.

Warrants served

David R. Cooper, 22, of 380 S. Main St., Lakeview, was charged Sunday at the Logan County Jail on a warrant for failing to appear in Bellefontaine Municipal Court on an underage consumption charge.

• Frank A. Steffey, 42, of 8998 Court St., Lakeview, was taken into custody Saturday on a theft warrant from Bellefontaine Municipal Court while at Welcome Woods, 7547 State Route 366, Lakeview.

• Robert Ferguson, 38, of 7824 Township Road 96, Belle Center, was served with a probation violation while at the Logan County Jail early Monday.

Damages reported

Karia A. Simon, 28, of 11546 State Route 235, Lakeview, reported Friday afternoon someone came into her house and poured bleach on her clothing and turned the heat up in her home.

Crashes logged

Corrin R. Mansfield, 16, of Lewistown, was taken by a Tri-Valley squad to Mary Rutan Hospital and was cited for failure to control after a severe-damage wreck at the intersection of township roads 55 and 184. She was eastbound on T.R. 55 at about 9:30 p.m. Friday when she reportedly failed to stop and at the intersection and hit a sign and trees.

• A citation for improper passing was issued to Rena B. Zimmerman, 50, of Lima, after her sport utility vehicle struck a car driven by Bonnie Cockerell, 54, of Lakeview, at about 11:10 a.m. Saturday. Both were southbound on State Route 117 when Ms. Zimmerman allegedly tried to pass and struck the Cockerell car, which was turning left onto State Route 273.

Highway patrol makes OVI arrests

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol arrested three motorists early Sunday for operating a vehicle while impaired.

• Joseph Hegemier, 25, of Columbus: 1:20 a.m., U.S. Route 33 near Lakeview.

• Gregory Matthews, 51, of 303 E. Warden St., Russells Point: 3 a.m., U.S. Route 33 near State Route 274.
