Criminal trespassing charges filed A West Jefferson man and a Lakeview teenager were charged with criminal trespassing at about 2 a.m. Saturday after deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office found them walking at Durnell’s Trailer Park on State Route 235 where propane tank thefts have been reported in recent weeks. The two suspects, Jason A. Switzer, 25, of West Jefferson, and Neil A. Mullen, 17, of 11690 Williams St., Lakeview, reportedly fled on foot when deputies tried to question them. The teen slipped on ice and was apprehended and Mr. Switzer was located a short time later after reportedly running into a tree. Neil was also charged with a delinquency count of underage consumption of alcohol and Mr. Switzer was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. • Theresa L. Powell, 27, of Hamilton, was charged with criminal trespassing after she attempted to drive through the 7288 County Road 62, DeGraff, property of Cassandra L. Conley and became stuck at about 3:30 p.m. Friday. OVI charge filed Deborah L. Kops, 47, of 4435 State Route 274, Huntsville, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for driving left of center after deputies stopped her while southbound on State Route 117 near Township Road 100 at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday. Vehicles reported missing Ronald E. Stayman, 45, of 168 N. Sandusky St., Rushsylvania, reported early Sunday his pickup truck and teenage son were missing. • Roger West, 53, of Orchard Island, reported Wednesday that his vehicle was taken overnight and left at his 22-year-old son Josh West’s 8991 Park St., Orchard Island, residence. Patrol makes OVI arrests Chad Fryer, 24, of Venedocia, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs at 4 a.m. Sunday after a traffic stop on U.S. Route 33 near Lakeview, troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report. • Christopher Leisure, 41, of Bellefontaine, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs following a 2:30 a.m. Saturday traffic stop near the intersection of Allison Road and Rush Avenue. Warrant served Troopers arrested Syrus Saxton, no age listed, of Kenton, on a warrant from the Union County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear in court on a drug possession charge at 3:30 a.m. Monday. Disorderly charge filed Correy L. Oakley, 38, of 335 Midway Ave., Lakeview, was arrested for disorderly conduct after deputies responded to her home on a report of a domestic disturbance at about 10:45 p.m. Monday. |
