Darlene L. Stanley, 54, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at her residence.
Born Feb. 21, 1963, in Hardin County, she was a daughter of Thomas and Floris Meddles Stanley. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in West Mansfield. She is also survived by her sister, Tamara (Tony) Dowell of Zanesfield; a nephew, Adam (Karen) Dowell of Bellefontaine; two great-nephews, Ethan and Briar; and a great-niece, Avery.
Darlene was a 1981 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School and earned a bachelor of science degree from Ohio State University in 1988. She was career-driven and loved her job working as an environmental specialist for the Ohio EPA in Columbus for many years. A lover of animals, she was also involved with the ASPIC.
Dean Wasson and Dr. Jason Robson officiate a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the West Mansfield Church of Christ, 235 S. Main St., West Mansfield, where calling is an hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Stephanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research and the National Kidney Foundation.
