Lura Maxine Roberts, 94, of Ridgeway, died at 4:39 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at her residence. She was born Jan.21, 1923, in Bellefontaine to the late Marshall and Florence James Pugh. On July 13, 1942, she married Elmer James Roberts Sr. and he preceded her in death in 1980.
Surviving are two sons, Elmer James (Jane) Roberts Jr. of Ridgeway and Harvey Kent (Jerri) Roberts of California; one sister, Carol Savage of Bellefontaine; one brother, Tom (Marilyn) Pugh of West Mansfield; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Randy Roberts; one great-grandson, Adam Kindell; and two sisters, Marion Fout and Lois Helfenstein.
Lura was a member of the Rushsylvania Lions Club. She loved to paint and loved to grow flowers in her garden. She also loved all her grandkids.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt.Victory, where calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28. Lloyd Ferguson and Doug Thompson officiate. Burial follows at Rushsylvania Cemetery.
The family would like the funeral to be casual dress, no suits or dresses required.
