Paul Howard Linger, 73, of Huntsville, passed away at 6:03 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Buckhannon, W.Va., on March 8, 1944, to the late Walter D. Linger and Mary Franklin.
On March 9, 1968, Howard married his wife of 50 years, the former Loretta Estes, and she survives, along with his son, Paul Linger; two grandchildren, Ashley Linger and Jacob Linger; a very special, special friend, Jenny Bell; and a brother, Glenn (Diane) Linger.
He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Hinzman and Helen Hinzman. Howard was a musician and U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Indian Lake Moose Lodge 1533, Indian Lake FOE Aerie 3615 and AMVETS Doyle R. Miller Post 39.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where Pastor Rick Clos officiates a funeral service at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11. Burial follows in Huntsville Cemetery with military rites by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
