She was also preceded in death by her brother, David Doll.

Surviving are one son, Kevin Castle of Kenton; two daughters, Kathy (Shawn) Allen of Ostrander and Kimberly Scott (Roger Frazier) of Kenton; four granddaughters, Brandi (Josh) Miller, Torrie Ayers (Aaron Perry), Karli (Nate) Purtee and Cami Jo (Blayke Burnworth) Castle; one grandson, Trent Castle; six great-grandchildren, Emma Ayers, Jacob Ayers, Avery Ayers, Ella Miller, Elijah Miller and Karlee Purtee; brothers, Don (Kay) Doll and Kenny (Deb) Doll, both of Kenton; and many, many nieces and nephews.

She has touched so many people and is loved by many, many more.

Gloria retired from Rockwell Meritor after 30-plus years of service. She was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church.

Gloria enjoyed her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved family and friends and spending time with them. She made anyone who came into her house feel like it was their home. She enjoyed camping at the family pond and spent countless weekends with her kids, nephews, nieces, neighborhood kids and friends. Her passion was accepting the role of “groundskeeper” for the pond for many years. She spent many hours on her porch watching the birds and blowing bubbles. She loved bubbles; it was her peace and serenity that she passed on to her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home in Kenton, where the funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, with her nephew, Pastor Douglas Doll, officiating. Burial follows in Dunkirk Cemetery. She was not a fancy person, so come as you are. Casual attire is requested.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the hospice of donors’ choices. Express condolences at www.stoutcrates.com.
