Darrell Roy Collins, 82, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, in his home.
He was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Lakeview, a son of James Liggett and Della Pearl Sine Collins.
He was retired from farming and Ohio Ready Mix. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bellefontaine Masonic Lodge 209, Antioch Shriners and Valley of Dayton Scottish Rite. He also served as a trustee for Harrison Township for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, the former Carolyn Forsythe; daughter, Becky (Steve) Sheehan; son Doug (Teresa) Collins; daughter-in-law, Holly Collins; grandchildren, Dustin Collins, Darin Collins, Duane Collins, Heather Campbell, Sean Sheehan, Alison Florkey, Kathy Hudson, Ashley Collins and Zachary Collins; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Collins; daughter, Katharine Collins; granddaughter, Christian Collins; one great-grandson, Drew Collins; three brothers, Marvin, Herbert and James Collins.
Masonic rite services are at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at Jennings Farley Funeral Home, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, following visitation that begins at 3 p.m. Private graveside services will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
