Jane Louise Lowe, 70, of Belle Center, passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 18, 2017, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Kenton on Jan. 1, 1947, to the late William C. and Cynthia L. Beatty Fulton. Janie was also preceded in death by a sister, Billie Patterson.
A 1965 graduate of Belle Center High School, Janie worked at Mary Rutan Hospital for 22 years, and retired in 2016 as a receptionist in the Emergency Department. She also worked for the Belle Center Summer Rec for 25 years and had served as secretary of the VFW Auxiliary. Janie was a member of the New Richland Baptist Church.
She married Jerry Lowe on Jan.12, 1968, in the Belle Center Church of Christ, and he survives in Belle Center. She is also survived by several cousins, and her children, the Nicholl children whom she loved as her own — Sam Nicholl, Anna Nicholl Henry, Sarah (Todd) Stump, Russell (Carol) Nicholl — and Corey and Brieanne Sullivan; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at the New Richland Baptist Church, 8651 County Road 39, Belle Center, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, and an hour prior to the noon Saturday, Nov. 18, memorial service at the church officiated by Pastor Steve Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jerry Lowe to offset Janie’s medical expenses.
