Joseph E. Oldiges, 50, of Minster, died at 1:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at his home.
He was born Jan. 25, 1967, in St. Marys and is survived by his father and stepmother, Tom and Judy Oldiges; his mother and stepfather, Bonita Schwieterman and David Becker; his brothers and sisters, Linda (Mike) Luebke of Bellefontaine, Lisa (Terry) Griner and Theresa (Don) Luebke, both of Minster, Dan (Linda) Oldiges of Carmel, Ind., and Matt (Krista) Oldiges of McCartyville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Oldiges; and grandparents, Edward and Margaret Oldiges and Harry and Anna Schwieterman.
Joe was a member of St. Augustine Church, Minster, and worked at the family business, Axis Corporation, for 30-plus years, at RTC Industries in Bellefontaine and recently at We Can Too, St. Marys. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, doing puzzles, dancing and going to sporting events.
Mass of Christian Burial is at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, with celebrant, the Rev. Rick Nieberding. Burial follows in St. Augustine Cemetery. Calling is at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, and an hour prior to the funeral at the church.
