Andrew James Snapp, 59, of Urbana and formerly of West Liberty, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at Urbana Health and Rehab.
He was born March 9, 1958, in Watford, England, a son of Donald and Ann Watson Snapp.
Andrew was a contractor for Total Industrial Maintenance at the Honda Engine Plant in Anna. He was a member of the West Liberty Lions Club and was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, collecting antiques and attending West Liberty-Salem athletic events.
Survivors include his mother; daughter, Erin Snapp; his companion of 38 years, Joy Huffman; brothers, D. Michael Snapp, Stephan G. (Kristen) Snapp and Raymond D. (Lisa) Snapp; sisters, Lucy (Dean) Snapp Huffman and Leona Snapp Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Sid and Lucy Watson and Clarence and Leona Snapp.
Funeral services begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at Jennings Farley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, where visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13. Burial is in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the West Liberty Lions Club and the West Liberty-Salem Athletic Department.
