Betty L. Dillon, 73, of West Liberty, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
She was born in Coalton on May 22, 1944, to the late Lee and Susie Tipton Drake.
On Aug. 23, 1965, she married Don D. Dillon, and he preceded her in death, Sept. 8, 2002. Betty was also preceded in death by siblings, Paul Drake, Bill Drake, Fred Drake, James Drake, Frances Sickle, Linda Thompson, Mary Clark and other infant siblings.
She is survived by her son, Jerry (Debra) Dillon of West Liberty; two grandchildren, Austin and Abby of West Liberty; brother, Harold Drake of Jackson; special brother and sister-in-law, Doris and Al Couch of West Jefferson; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was a member of the United Church of Christ in West Liberty. She enjoyed going to the casino, sewing and supporting her grandkids in all their endeavors. Betty was the founder of the Juvenile Diabetes Bake Sale at West Liberty-Salem Schools. She organized and supported the sale for the last 11 years. All who loved her will miss her.
The Rev. Paul Forrey will officiate a funeral at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, West Liberty, where visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
