Robert E. “Bob” Haught, 75, a resident of Indian Lake since 1990 and formerly of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017.

Born Nov. 29, 1941, he attended Wayne High School in Huber Heights and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962. He then joined the Dayton Fire Department and retired in March 1991.

Bob was a life member of Doyle R. Miller AMVETS Post 39, a member of Indian Lake Moose Lodge 1533 and FOE Aerie 3615, all in Lakeview, and Harold Kerr American Legion Post 173 in Bellefontaine.

Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, father-in-law and uncle. He enjoyed boating and hunting.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Stephen Haught; grandson, Joseph David Kirby; sister, Kelly A. Haught; and parents, Mary Jo Allen Worley and Robert (Doris) Haught.

He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 53 years, Mary  Haught; daughters, Amy M. Gilbert and Kimberly A. (Thomas) Kollin; son, Robert E. (Shani) Haught Jr.; grandchildren, Ashley (Daniel) Denham, Joshua Kirby, Zachary Gilbert, Baili Haught, Cameron Kollin, Rylie Kollin, Colton Haught and Caedon Kollin; great-grandchildren, Parker Kirby, Geoffrey Degaten, Ethan Kirby, Isaiah Kirby, Christian Kirby, Noah Kirby and Caroline Denham; sisters, Christine (Doug) Taylor, Andi (Bob) Smith, Nicki (Jack) Warner; brothers, Britt Haught, Mark Haught and Fred (Cathy) Haught; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and his dogs, Molly and Shadow.

Graveside services are at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, in Huntsville Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
