Dorothy Annabelle Frater, 94, of Bellefontaine, passed away at Prestige Gardens in Marysville on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017.
She was born March 11, 1923, to the late Dale C. and Emma J. Long Heil. On Jan. 1, 1944, she married Paul Frater, Jr. and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2003. She was also preceded in death by a son, Steve in July of 2005.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter-in-law, Connie; grandchildren, Teresa (Mike) Travis, Tonya (Lee) Hollenbacher, Tobias (Kendra) Frater and Tyler (Danielle) Frater; and great-grandchildren, Sydney, Peyton and Nolan, Chance, Cameron, Ryan and Isaac, and Skylar and Abrielle.
Two brothers, Guy and Robert Heil, and four sisters, Maxine Smith, Claradell Keller, Gladys Clement and Twylah Keller, also preceded her in death.
She retired from A&P Grocery in 1974 following 22 years of service. She then retired from Hardin Memorial Hospital in 1985. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Angus officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
