Rosetta Burkholder, 66, of north U.S. Route 68, Bellefontaine, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at her daughter’s home following a six-month battle with cancer.
She was born in Bremen, Ind., on June 25, 1950, a daughter of the Gilbert D. Miller, and of Etta Ferne Yoder Miller, who survives in Bellefontaine.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in her youth and was a faithful member of the Belle Center Amish Church.
On May 1, 1969, she married Carl Burkholder in Nappanee, Ind., and he survives, along with 10 children, Ann Marie (Joseph) Miller and Abigail (Elvin) Kropf, both of Houstonia, Mo., Nathan and Micah, both of the home, Philip (Eleanor) Burkholder, Thomas (Susan) Burkholder and Rachel (Timothy) Gingerich, all of Rushsylvania, Janet (James) Miller of Huntsville and Amelia (Leroy) Weaver and Bethany Burkholder, both of Sarasota, Fla.
She also was preceded in death by an infant sister, Esther Marie.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, April 20, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 21, at the Mahlon Coblentz residence, 7443 County Road 49, Belle Center, where Bishop David Yoder officiates the funeral service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22. Burial is in the Belle Center Amish Cemetery.
