Patrick E. McCullough, 63, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, at his home.
He was born in Dayton on Sept. 8, 1949, a son of the late Charles McCullough and Elizabeth Bradley McCullough Rosengarden. He also was preceded in death by two infant sons, Shawn and Patrick McCullough Jr.
He leaves behind his longtime companion, Terry Stockton of Bellefontaine; his three children, Scott McCullough of Dayton, Nicole McCullough of St. Paris area and Mark McCullough of Dunkirk; three stepchildren, Wesley Stockton of Marion and Henry and Wayne Stockton, both of Sidney; his stepfather, Lester Rosengarden of Englewood; several grandchildren; and a brother, Mike McCullough of Florida.
A 1968 graduate of Northmont High School in Dayton, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. Following his military career, he worked various jobs throughout his lifetime, including working on the Andrea Gail, a commercial fishing vessel that was lost at sea with all hands and was the story behind the 2000 film, The Perfect Storm.
A special recognition goes out to his infant grandson, Miles Stockton, “Oy, Oy, Oy.”

A graveside service in Dayton National VA Cemetery is at a later date.
