Emma L. Young Foreman, 66, of Bloomington, Ind., and formerly of Bellefontaine, passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
She was born in Chillicothe on Oct. 8, 1946, to the late Kenneth and Marie Rinehart Young.
She is survived by her husband, William Wampler; daughters Bobbi Myers and Jamie Myers, both of Bellefontaine, and Toni Myers of Huber Heights; grandchildren, her “taterheads” Kaley McDaniel, MacKenzie Myers, Ericka Myers, Demond Parker, DeWaine Davis, Deshon Parker, Taizha Collier and Amaya Diallo; brother Kenneth (Denise Cochran) Young of Troy; sister Vera (Gary) Kuaile of Bellefontaine.
She was retired from Nash Finch, where she worked for more than 20 years.
Emma lived life to the fullest and was proud to say she was a 10-year survivor of lung cancer. The courage and strength she displayed throughout her life has been an inspiration for her children, grandchildren and her many friends.
She enjoyed trail riding and traveling all over the country, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved her.
Pastor Mike Sandlin leads a memorial service at 5 p.m. Friday at Hi Point Church of Christ, 1815 State Route 540, Bellefontaine, where the family will receive friends three hours prior to the service.
The family also hosts visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Chapel, 3000 E. Third St., Bloomington, Ind., with a funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday.
