Jeffrey Richard Ashcraft, 59, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, at Mary Rutan Hospital, after a prolonged illness.
He was born in Bellefontaine on Sept. 1, 1953, to Daniel W. Ashcraft, who survives in Bellefontaine, and the late Nancy D. Sparks Ashcraft.
He was married to the former Patti Hinks and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Jackson B. Ashcraft of Bellefontaine; brother, Bill (Melissa) Ashcraft of Columbus; sister, Laurie Ashcraft Bowling of Bellefontaine; and many nieces and nephews.
He worked for LeVan’s Excavating as a general contractor. A member of the Episcopal Holy Trinity Church, he enjoyed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, country music, working with his hands and spending time with family and friends. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns and OSU fan.
Gene Marine officiates a funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where calling is two hours prior. Burial is in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
