Ruth Ann Brautigam, 75, of Quincy, passed away at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at The Pavilion in Sidney.
She was born in Quincy on June 4, 1937, a daughter of the late Wallace and Eleanor Staley Thompson.
On Nov. 6, 1955, she married Gerald Brautigam and he survives, along with one son, Steve (Linda) Brautigam of Quincy; three daughters, LuAnn (Scott) Fultz of Sidney, JoAnn (Jim) Bodenmiller of Springfield and Jan (Jeff) Davidson of Sidney; grandchildren, Mary Brautigam, Michelle and Matt Hull, Matt Brautigam, Kayla, Kelsey and Jarrod Fultz, Bradley, Dustin and Brooke Bodenmiller, Regan and Lucas Davidson; three great-grandchildren, Peyton, Garrett and Aiden Hull; two brothers, Lloyd (Nancy) Thompson of Sidney and W. Ed (Virginia) Thompson of Sidney; and one brother-in-law, Norman Dale (Inez) Brautigam of Monroe, N.C.
Ruth worked at Fairlawn High School and provided child care at the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA.
She enjoyed watching horse races, gardening and bird watching, but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The Rev. Barbara Staley officiates a funeral at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cromes Funeral Home, where visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday. Burial is in Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco.
