Ileta Weaver Mouser, 87, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Roanoke, Va., on Sept. 28, 1925, to the late Charles and Mary Blankenship Weaver.
On April 15, 1946, she married Louis E. Mouser Sr. in Richmond, Va., and he died June 19, 2003. She also was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include two children, Ed (Diane) Mouser of Huntsville, and Janet (Don) Daniels of Belle Center; five grandchildren, Stacey (Ryan) Holycross of Russells Point, Ryan Mouser of Lexington, Ky., Jonathan (Nicole) Daniels of Huntsville, Don (Brandi) Daniels Jr. of Bellefontaine and Chris (Lisa) Daniels of Lewistown; five great-grandchildren, Ashley and Logan Holycross, Austin Shaffer, and Mathew and Shaylene Daniels; two sisters, Juanita Fields of Richmond, Va., and Edna Moore of Roanoke, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Juanita Weaver and Shirley Weaver, both of Roanoke, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Peg Bradley of Huntsville.
A homemaker for most of her life, she had worked at the former Sandy Beach Amusement Park in Russells Point, and was a former Girl Scout and Brownies leader. She was a member of the Doyle R. Miller AMVETS Post 39 Auxiliary of Lakeview and the Charles R. Collins American Legion Post 381 Auxiliary of Huntsville. She greatly enjoyed making pancakes and the company of her children, grandchildren, great-granchildren and their friends who came with them.
A gathering of remembrance is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. A graveside service begins at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
