Dolores Jeanne Foughty, 83, Sun City, Ariz., passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2013, in the home of her granddaughter, Wendy (Steven) Quinonez of Phoenix.
She was born July 13, 1929, a daughter of the late Everett and Edith Mosier Conklin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Foughty, and step-brother Everett Conklin Jr.
She is survived by her son, Larry (Patt) Foughty of Phoenix; daughter, Debra (John) Carleton of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, June (Jack) Godwin of Bellefontaine; a brother, James (Sigrid) Conklin of Sidney; a step-sister Mary Ellen (John) Davis of Harper; and several nieces and nephews.
Known as “Dee” to friends and family, she was a 1947 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and moved to Arizona where she worked for St. Paul Insurance Co. with many years as assistant executive director. She was active in the Moose Lodge and the American Legion in Arizona. She also enjoyed traveling, playing piano and spending time with her family.
A memorial service was conducted Jan. 23 at Hansen’s Mortuary in Scottsdale.
