Charles Leon “Butch” Williams, 66, of Key West, Fla., formerly of Belle Center, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.
He was born Feb. 17, 1946, in Kenton, a son of the late Kenneth L. and Clara Rose Williams. A 1964 graduate of Belle Center High School, he attended the University of Cincinnati and worked in architecture all his life. He moved to Key West in the early 1970s.
He married Lucy Carleton in 2006, and she survives, along with a brother, Lester Williams of Munster, Ind.; sisters, Joella Wolf of Belle Center, Karyn Mosher of Kenton and Ladonna Lehman of Columbus Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed sailing, and most recently, he and his wife taught dancing classes, particularly salsa.
He also was preceded in death by a son, Dodd Wall; a brother, Lewis Williams and a sister, Wilma Jackson.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
