Imogene L. Thwaits, 84, of Dublin, formerly of Russells Point, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born in Buckland on July 20, 1928.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil “Trigger” Thwaits.
Survivors include daughters, Kendra (Kim) Cappel of Upper Arlington and Marcia (Terry) Oakley of Hilliard; her cherished granddaughters, Andrea Cappel and Emily Oakley; and brother Richard (Eileen) Brorein of Wapakoneta.
Imogene received a bachelor’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University and taught at Lakeview Elementary School for 35 years, before retiring in 1994. Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
An avid gardener, she loved baking, especially her “famous” banana bread, which was enjoyed by all.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters and “grand-dogs.” She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A private memorial service is at a later date.
