Margaret E. Schoepfle, 97, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 6:35 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Heartland of Bellefontaine.

She was born in Bellefontaine on Feb. 10, 1915, a daughter of the late Ezra Ellsworth and Eleanor Downing.

On Oct. 13, 1938, she married William Henry Schoepfle in Lexington, Ky., and he preceded her in death on March 17, 1985. She also was preceded in death by sons, Max and Bill Schoepfle; brother, Harold Paul Downing; and sisters, Elise L. Henry and Mabel Montrose Dunn.

Survivors include a son, Charles Schoepfle of Bellefontaine; nine grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a homemaker.

Pastor Fred Clogg officiates a funeral at 10 a.m. Monday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Burial is in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
