Minnie Pearl McClain, 69, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
Born in Bellefontaine on Oct. 9, 1943, to the late Clay Wade Ross and Doris Garman Herren. She married Edward T. McClain in Bryan on Feb. 6, 1963, and he survives in Bellefontaine.
She was also preceded in death by a half-brother, Rex R. Ross.
Minnie is also survived by three children, Icy (Roger) Collett of Bellefontaine, Timothy (Annabelle) McClain of Rushsylvania and Coriene (Mike Cox) Ilse of Bellefontaine; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a special friend Mary Davis of Harper.
Minnie tended bar at Moore’s Café and the Palm Grill for 22 years before retiring in 1998. She loved flowers, playing music, visiting with family and friends and was formerly in a bluegrass gospel band.
Rev. Frank McCollough officiates a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where friends may call two hours prior. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
Minnie requested that all that attend the services dress in casual attire.
