Virginia Louise Liles, 84, of O’Brien, Fla., and formerly of Belle Center, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
She was born in Hancock County on Dec. 28, 1927, to the late Everett Bish and Zella Meyers Conrad. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, the late Russell Conrad. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn McDonald.
On July 3, 1945, she married Warren Jay Liles in Bellefontaine and he survives, along with a son, David (Sharon) Liles of Belle Center; daughters, Charolette (Ed) Fout of Belle Center and Deborah Byrd of O’Brien, Fla.; a sister, Lillian Osborne of Findlay; son-in-law, Danny McDonald of Belle Center; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
An accountant and a bookkeeper, Virginia was a member of the United Baptist Church in Branford, Fla.
She enjoyed gardening, raising horses, her dogs, hosting barn dances and traveling.
The Rev. Marlyn Thompkins officiates a funeral at 2 p.m. Friday at the Union Baptist Church, Branford, Fl., where visitation us two hours prior. Burial is in the Union Baptist Cemetery.
