Russell M. Higgins, 38, of Bellefontaine, died suddenly at 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012.
He was born in Kenton on Sept. 2, 1974, to Therese Bookman Trout, who survives in LaRue, and the late James Higgins.
He also is survived by a son, Matthew M. Higgins of Ada; daughter, Shelby N. Higgins of Ada; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Elizabeth Bookman of LaRue, sister, Tracy D. Schriml of Marion; brother, James E. Higgins of California; and fiancée, Angela Parker of Bellefontaine.
He worked as a technician at Plastipak and served in the U.S. Navy from 1996 to 2001. He very much enjoyed his children’s sporting activities.
The Rev. Tim Pasma officiates a funeral at 3 p.m. Monday at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, LaRue, where visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial is in the Price Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to start a college fund for his children.
