Ruth Ann Beech

Ruth Ann Beech, 76, of Huntsville, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Gables at Green Pastures, Marysville.

She was born in Bellefontaine on May 26, 1938, a daughter of the late Gail and Freda Stahler Alloway. 

She married Roger Beech on Aug. 31, 1956, in the Huntsville United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death May 13, 2014. She also was preceded in death by her two sisters, Donna Hasty and Vickie Creviston; two brothers, Gail (Betty) and Bob Alloway; and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Beech.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Vesco of Pickerington; a son, Jim (Denise) Beech of West Mansfield; five grandchildren, Nicole, Zachery and Morgan Vesco, and Katrise (Alex Rhoades) and Kodrey Beech; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Kyleigh; a sister, Linda Hill of Bellefontaine; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Beech of Sidney and Judy Alloway of Kenton; a brother-in-law, Bob Beech of Belle Center; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other close friends and relatives.

A 1956 graduate of Huntsville High School, Ruth Ann retired as head cook from Indian Lake Schools, where she had 28 years of service. She was a lifetime member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church, where she was active with the Connecting Links committee.

She enjoyed sewing and going on bus trips as well as painting and working with crafts. She loved to attend her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events and the family get-togethers that usually included playing cards. 

Pastor Bryan Meadows officiates a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Huntsville United Methodist Church, where visitation is one hour prior. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.
