Edith Deon Furer, 83, of Mt. Victory, passed away at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at her residence.
She was born in Marion on Oct. 29 1930, to the late Clinton Scoby and Minnie Marie Stoneburner Brady.
On Dec. 22, 1948, she married Harley Frederick Furer in Greenup, Ky., and they were married 64 years before his passing in March 2013.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Wolend of South Amherst; three sons, Alan Furer of Marysville, Dan Furer of Ridgeway and Thomas (Carol) Furer of West Mansfield; 11 grandchildren, Richard, Andrew, Jeremy, Brian, Jeffery, Tenley, Mandy, Joseph, Tyler, Katie and Tim; 13 great-grandchildren.
A homemaker and farmer, Edith was a 1949 graduate of Moral High School and member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of God.
Edith enjoyed cooking and gardening, but what she enjoyed the most was being a mother.
A funeral begins at noon Saturday, Aug. 23, at Price Funeral Home, Mt. Victory, with visitation two hours prior. Burial is in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
