Dorothy Wallace, 89, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 16, 2014, at Logan Acres.
She was born in Bellefontaine on Nov. 11, 1924, to the late George and Opal Marquis Harrington.
She married Harold O. Wallace on July 30, 1971, in Bellefontaine, and he preceded her in death Feb. 10, 1999. She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Herbert, Roland and Francis Harrington.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Howard Edward (Marena) Latimer of West Liberty, William Rusty (Pam) Latimer of Bellefontaine and Terry Lee (Deb) Latimer of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter, Marvalene Downing of Bellefontaine; 16 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy worked as an aide at Mary Rutan Hospital and was a school bus driver for Bellefontaine City Schools, as well as a guide at Ohio Caverns.
A crafty person, Dorothy enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. She was a member of First Christian Church, Bellefontaine.
Burial is at a later date in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
