Robert Gary “Bob” Elliott, 94, passed away Aug. 12, 2014, in Columbus.
He was born in West Mansfield on Nov. 2, 1919, to the late John Lloyd and Hattie Corwin Elliott. He also was preceded in death by a former wife, Janet Wilgus Elliott; six brothers, Howard, Thomas, John Wilson, George, Byron and Charles; and three sisters, Thelma Isabel Kohler, Leona Wildermuth and Phyllis Huffman.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; sister, Mary (Burgess) Elliott of Franklin, Tenn.; sons, Gary (Jenny) Elliott of Duck River, Tenn., and Gene (Judy) Elliott of Sunbury; daughter, Diane (Jerry) Knight of Bradenton, Fla.; brother-in-law, Dean Huffman of West Jefferson; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired as an engineer after 35 years of service to Ohio Bell Telephone Co., Columbus.
He was an avid golfer and Ohio State University fan.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
