Robert Edward Kissling, 88, of Ruskin, Fla., formerly of Lakeview, died at 2:40 p.m. July 4, 2014, at Southbay Hospital in Sun City, Fla.
He was born June 5, 1926, in Ada, a son of the late Lacy and Ilo Kissling. On Feb. 21, 1948, he married Lois Elizabeth Elliott, who preceded him in death June 30, 2005.
Surviving are his daughters, Vicki (George) Wilson of Anna and Terri (Gary) Voss of Huntsville; three grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Marion) Kissling of Bluffton, Dick Kissling of Kenton, and David (Jean) Kissling of Gahanna; and a sister, Elizabeth Spradling of Ruskin, Fla.
He was a member of the Roundhead VFW. He served in the Navy during World War II and retired from the U.S. Army Tank Command working in Lima and in Michigan. He also was a bus driver and grounds keeper for the Indian Lake School District.
A memorial service is set for 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Don and Pat Voss residence, 11255 County Road 270, Lakeview.
