Kenneth Ralston, 91, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014, at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
He was born in New Holland on Aug 17, 1922, a son of the late John Wesley and Clara Belle Posey Ralston. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, in 1999; a brother, Donald W. Ralston; and grandson, Robert Kenneth Hayden.
Survivors include his daughters, Sandra L. Makenson, Karen S. (Mike) Smith and Patricia A. (Tom) Diener; grandchildren, Kymberley L. (Rick) Solderholm, Elizabeth J. Dunfee, Peter R. Smith, Patrick W. (Kristi) Chapman, Ryan Smith, Krista (John) Belser and Lori (Jamie) Rowland; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ralston was a U.S Navy veteran of World War II. He moved to Bellefontaine in 1945 and worked at the Knowlton Hereford Farm until 1967. He retired from Western & Southern Insurance Company.
Pastor Gene Marine officiates a funeral at noon Tuesday at Jennings Farley Funeral Home, 5591 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, where visitation is two hours prior. Interment is at a later date in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
