Leonard Jordan, 90, of rural Kenton, passed away at 7:22 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at Mary Rutan Hospital, with his family at his bedside.
He was born March 30, 1924, to the late John L. and Emma Detwiler Jordan. He also was preceded in death by his son, Ned E. Jordan; an infant sister; and a brother, Orphus Jordan.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ivadel McCumber; his daughters, Linda (Don) Houchin, Emma S. Jordan and Lori (Rance) Harp; his grandchildren, Gina Messner, Chassie Schwemer, Carrie Preston, Jodi Ledley, Brandon Harp, Jared Harp and Sara Harp; and his great-grandchildren, Ryan Messner, Derek Preston, Justin Powell, Laney Ledley, Josie Schwemer and Callie Schwemer.
His main interests were farming and his family.
Visitation is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 11, at Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home, Kenton. Pastor Denny Livingston officiates a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors’ choices.
