Sara Jane Storm, 81, of rural Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 1, 2014, in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Clifford and Lucille Risner Anspach.
On July 16, 1954, she married Richard F. Storm, who preceded her in death Nov. 13, 1994. She also was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Gene and Pat Anspach; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Marie Storm.
Survivors include her children, Scott (Kim Reames) Storm, Casey (Deb) Storm, Bruce Storm and Mary Ann (Randy) Kemp; daughter-in-law, Julie Storm; grandchildren, Robert, Brandon (Sheridon), Amanda, Dan (Heather), Tisha (Timothy) and Cody; and great-grandchildren, Zalaney, Riggs, Paxton and William.
A 1951 graduate of Washington Township Schools in Lewistown, she grew up in the Indian Lake area. For more than 40 years, and through five pastorates, she faithfully served as the secretary of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine, where she also taught the first grade Sunday School class, was actively engaged with the Vacation Bible School program and was a member of many boards and committees.
The Revs. Gary Swogger, Ron Irick and Ray Headings officiate at an 11:30 a.m. Saturday funeral service at the First Church of God, where calling begins at 9:30 a.m. Internment is in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
