Edna Hershberger, 80, of Huntsville, passed away Monday morning, April 7, 2014, at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born in Hartville on Aug. 17, 1933, to the late Henry A. and Barbara Shrock Coblentz. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Emma Coblentz; son-in-law, Dave Wagler; three grandchildren, Deborah Rose Yoder, Joel David Yoder and Steven Ray Yoder; brother, Henry “Sonny” Coblentz; and sister, Sarah Coblentz.
She married Jonas Hershberger on May 20, 1954, in Hartville and he survives in Huntsville, along with children, Ruth (Leon) Troyer of Belle Center, Delilah Wagler of Canton, Kathryn (Ron) Wagler of Cross Hill, S.C., Jim (Iva) Hershberger of Antrim, Barbara (Paul) Yoder of Huntsville, Mary Jane (John) Mast of Middleport, N.Y., and Marlene (David) Yoder of Rushsylvania; 39 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; siblings, Albert (Ada) Coblentz of Homeworth, Leroy Coblentz of Senecaville, Elmer (Rose) Coblentz of Philipsburg, Mont., Barbara Ann (Ernest) Lumley of Bracey, Va., Emma (Harvey) Yoder of Sarasota, Fla., and Ada (Henry) Coblentz of Etowah, N.C.; and a brother-in-law, Chris Coblentz of Milroy, Ind.
She was a member of the Belle Center Amish Church and was well-known for her catering business. Her husband, children and grandchildren were always close to her heart.
Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the Mahlon Coblentz residence, 7443 County Road 49, Belle Center, where Bishop Marcus Schlabach conducts a funeral at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial is in Belle Center Amish Cemetery.
