Dixie E. Boysel, 78, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at her residence.
She was born in Cherokee on Jan. 26, 1936, to the late James C. and Norma E. Short Grow. She also was preceded in death by a son, James Frazier; and her siblings, June Blosser, Jim Grow and John Grow.
Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Arthur E. Boysel; sons, Larry (Jana) Frazier and Wayne (Rose) Frazier; a daughter, Jackie (James) Boysel; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Hardman and Marian Norton; and many nieces and nephews.
Dixie attended Christ our King Church. She enjoyed traveling, western movies and was a big fan of Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed working with people and was the type of person who never met a stranger. She loved to cook and bake for her family.
Pastor Bruce Bell officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where calling is one hour prior. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
