Henry Weisz, 90, of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, at his residence at Campbell House.
He was born in New Lexington on Aug. 22, 1923, to the late Edward and Lenke Kroh Weisz.
On Dec. 31, 1973, he married the former Patty Ann Looker in Las Vegas and she preceded him in death Oct. 10, 1979.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Pam (Roscelle) Clark of Bellefontaine; stepgrandchildren, Kambria Masters of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Roscelle Clark III of Bellefontaine; his cousin, George (Joselle) Kun of Upper Arlington and their daughter and his second cousin, Nicholle Kun of New York City.
He also was preceded in death by first cousin Edith Downs, mother of George Kun and grandmother of Nicholle Kun.
Henry was the longtime proud owner of Wolfheim’s and Huber-Buchenroth clothing stores. Wolfheim’s was the second oldest clothing store in Ohio. He helped run the stores for more than 50 years before Wolfheim’s and Huber-Buchenroth closed in 2005.
Henry was a kind-hearted soul and friend to all. He was honored to be the recipient of the lifetime achievement award through the Logan County Chamber of Commerce.
Gene Marine officiates a service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where calling is two hours prior. Burial is in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Henry Weisz Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Huntington National Bank, 201 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine 43311.
