Carolyn L. McClain, 64, of Bellefontaine and formerly of Russells Point, passed away Friday morning, March 14, 2014, at Vancrest of Urbana.
She was born in Marion on Oct. 2, 1949, to the late Ernest and Janice (White) Osbourne.
Carolyn is survived by her son, James (Erin Slagle) McClain of Urbana; five grandchildren, Grace Ann Mercy Slagle, Courtney Noel McClain, Lily Aurora Slagle, Sophia Slagle and Caleb James McClain; and her “second son” Mark Cook Jr. of Bellefontaine.
Carolyn worked at Holloway Sportswear in Jackson Center. She was a life-member of the Indian Lake Eagles Aerie 3615 and had previously been a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge 1533. She collected cats and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where funeral services begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Timothy Johnson of Indian Lake Northside Church of the Nazarene officiating. Private burial will be in Marion Cemetery, Marion.
