A. Ruth Rolston, 93, of Waynesfield, went home to be with the Lord at 7:16 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home.
She was born in Kossuth on July 19, 1920, to the late Floyd and Lula Stiles Jacobs.
On June 12, 1939, she married Glen H. Rolston and he preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1982. She also was preceded in death by a son, Roy Rolston; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harlon Jacobs and Richard Jacobs; and three sisters, Rosaline Whetstone, Mary Haudenshield and Luella Bell.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Kitty) Rolston of Cridersville and Gil (Deborah) Rolston of Wapakoneta; four daughters, Helen Mowery of Ada, Janet Helmlinger of Waynesfield, Peggy Rolston of Cridersville and Deanece (Aaron) Dodds of Lakeview; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Warren Jacobs of Lima.
A homemaker, she had worked as a process operator at Fisher Cheese. She was a member of the Waynesfield Baptist Church.
She had a great love for babies and enjoyed walking, reading and picking up seashells.
The Rev. Donald Smith conducts a funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, where visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial is in Fairmount Cemetery, Uniopolis.
