Inez V. Newland, 82, of Ridgeway, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at the Burlington House in Cincinnati.
She was born in Belle Center on March 10, 1931, to the late John Lewis and Adena Harden Fox.
On June 12, 1954, she married Charles Daniel Newland in Kenton and he preceded her in death Sept. 4, 1993. She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, John, and Harry Fox.
Surviving are daughter Kathy (Mark) Harper of Cincinnati; sons, Tim E. (Leigh) Newland and Jim L. (Deb) Newland, both of Ridgeway; six grandchildren, Jason Harper, Christopher Harper, Stacy (Tony) Foster, Craig (Christy) Newland, Nick (Grace) Newland and Shelle (Jeremy Hill) Newland; and four great-grandchildren, Olivia Newland, Thomas Newland, Dominic Newland and Faith Newland.
She retired from IBM Bulldog in Bellefontaine and had owned and operated Newland Service station in Ridgeway.
A member of the Ridgeway United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, Inez was adamant about attending church and her family was very important to her.
The Rev. J. Mac Geissinger officiates a service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ridgeway United Methodist Church. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Price Funeral Home in Mt. Victory and one hour prior to the church service. Burial is in Ridgeway Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Active Day of Cincinnati, Hardin County Council on Aging and the Ridgeway United Methodist Church.
