Betty Kathryn Lillard, 94, of Pioneer, and formerly of Logan County, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 7, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Lewistown on Oct, 21, 1919, to the late E. S. “Jack” and Helen C. Cooper Hemminger.
Betty married Carl W. Lillard, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Helen, Darthea, Virginia and Aleen; and three brothers Emery, Stewart and Lawrence.
She is survived by three sons, D. Wade (Sandra) Lillard, Michael (Loni) Lillard and John E. Carl Lillard all of Pioneer; former daughter-in-law, Pam J. Bashor, of Southern California; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She graduatedin 1939 from Lewistown High School where she lettered all four years in basketball and was very active in 4-H.
Betty attended the Bridgewater Community Church. She worked in the shipping and receiving department at Hughes Aircraft in Culver City and Fullerton, Calif., for 25 years. After returning to Ohio she worked at Kustom Fit and Universal Industrial Products both in Pioneer.
Visitation is from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer where services begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday with Pastor Mark D. Pitman officiating. Interment follows at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer.
