Joanna Dorff Dodge, 79, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at her home in Bellefontaine.
Born June 16, 1934, in Wheeling, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Vessels Dorff.
She is survived by her loving husband, W. Robert “Bob” Dodge, whom she married on June 23, 1957, in Columbus, along with their children, Lisa Dodge of Oak Park, Ill., Susan (Scott Taylor) Dodge of Cincinnati and Steven (Adrienne) Dodge of Nashville, Tenn.; their beloved granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth; and her two sisters, Linda Dorff of Columbus and Mary Ellen (Michael) Rupright of San Francisco.
She was a 1952 graduate of Upper Arlington High School and graduated in 1957 from The Ohio State University, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity. She also was a member of the Bellefontaine First United Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Tourist Club and Rake and Hoe Garden Club, and had served on the Logan County Education Foundation board.
A celebration of her life is planned for spring.
