Diana Renee Brunner, 52, of Belle Center, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at the James Cancer Center, Columbus.
She was born on Feb. 8, 1961, a daughter of Robert G. and Janice M. Johnston Quay, who survive in Belle Center.
On June 20, 1987, she married David E. Brunner in Belle Center and he survives, along with their children, Devyn J. Brunner, Drake E. Brunner and Denay N. Brunner, all of Belle Center; her siblings, Debbie (Paul) Claassen of Bellefontaine and Doug (Julie) Quay of Rushsylvania; brothers- and sisters in-law, Mike (Susan) Brunner and Deb (John) Hanson, both of Huntsville, Delores Brunner of West Liberty, Mark (Donna) Brunner of Bellefontaine, Diane (Don) Lewis of Lewistown, Lory (John) Park of Texas and John (Deb) Brunner of Bellefontaine; mother-in-law, Janet J. Brunner of West Liberty; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The most important aspect of her life was her family. Her greatest joy was being a loving wife and mother. She relished the peaceful lifestyle of the country.
Diana was a faithful and active member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church, where she was an ordained elder and a member of the choir. She also taught Bible School and children’s choir and led the Puppet Ministry. She also was a member of the Joy Circle Group Bible Study.
She dedicated almost 30 years to her students in the Indian Lake School District, where she taught computer technology and mathematics at both the elementary and middle school levels. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.
She was a very creative person who loved to crochet and enjoyed doing many other crafts. Among her numerous hobbies were baking pies and cinnamon rolls, picking wild raspberries and making jam, and traveling.
Pastor Jim Burton leads a Celebration of Life at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church, where calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service. Private family burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Belle Center United Presbyterian Church, 202 Walnut St., Belle Center 43310; and to the Diana Brunner Memorial Fund at Huntington Bank, 201 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine 43311, to benefit the family.
