Jeanne A. Young, 65, of Ridgeway passed away at 10:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Logan Acres Care Center, Bellefontaine.
She was born in Kenton on July 22, 1948, to the late Wilbur and Marjorie Appelfeller Keller. On Feb. 10, 1968, she married Don Young and he survives, along with her children, Scott (Donna) Young of Marysville and Erica (Devin) Elsasser and Shauna (Jeremy) Streets, both of Ridgeway; grandchildren, Loryn and Laney Elsasser, Jordan and Jayden Streets and Gage Church; a brother, Steven (Judith) Keller of Tennessee; mother-in-law, Beatrice Young of Ridgeway; and brother-in-law, Ron Young of Tipp City.
She also was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Jeanne was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
She graduated from Ridgemont High School in 1966 and was a member of the Ridgeway United Methodist Church. She enjoyed snowmobiling, water skiing, watching the OSU Buckeyes, and was an avid fan of all sports. She liked animals and loved to travel. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Schindewolf Stout Crates Funeral Home in Kenton. Funeral services begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church in Kenton with Rev. J. Mac Geissinger officiating. Burial follows in the Hale Cemetery, Mt. Victory.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ridgemont High School Athletic Fund and the Ridgeway Methodist Church.
