Juanita May Cramer, 89, of West Mansfield, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at The Gables at Green Pastures, Marysville, with her family at her side.
She was born in West Mansfield on March 25, 1924, to the late Clarence and Viola Kelly Penhorwood. She also was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and James Weiser; two infant sisters; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gayle and Virgil Botkin; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Chaslea Cramer.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, the Rev. John Cramer, to whom she was married on June 16, 1946, at the Bethel United Methodist Church by her father-in-law, the Rev. Charles Cramer; her son, Michael L. (Brenda) Cramer of Kenton; her daughter, Denise (Kenneth) Beaty of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four grandchildren, Jorden (Jason) Conley, Lacey (Jason) Weihrauch, Lauren Beaty and Brandon Beaty; two great-granddaughters, Jyles Beau Conley and Sawyer Ruby Weihrauch; brother-in-law, Walter (Mary) Cramer of Bellefontaine; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
A loving homemaker, she was employed with OM Scotts Financial Services from 1968-1992. She was formerly employed with Harding Machine Screw Company and Detroit Aluminum & Brass.
She was a 1942 graduate of York Center High School and a faithful member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer and was active with the United Methodist Women.
Juanita enjoyed traveling and was known community wide as an excellent baker.
Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Mannasmith-Schnurrenberger Funeral Home, West Mansfield. The Revs. Steve Brown and Steve Cramer officiate a funeral at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethel United Methodist Church. Burial is in York Cemetery.
