Dale A. Rohrer, 61, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, in Arizona.
Dale was born in Springfield on May 31, 1952, to Donald and Eva Scubis Rohrer.
He graduated from Northeastern High School and married the love of his life, Lora Bowers, in 1971.
Dale retired from Navistar after more than 30 years of service and was a longtime member of the Greene County Fish and Game Association. He enjoyed his guns, target shooting, camping, and fishing any chance he got. More than anything, though, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
Dale is survived by his two daughters, Misty (Scott) Roach of DeGraff and Suzy (Brian) Martin of Maricopa, Ariz.; brother, Joe (Wanda) Rohrer of Florida; and five grandchildren, Cody, Courtney and Ashley Roach, and Matthew and Tyler Martin.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Lora; father, Donald; as well as his son, Dale Rohrer Jr.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until a funeral at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield, officiated by Wayne Downing. A graveside service follows at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
