Roderick Allen Clark, 51, of Long Beach, Calif., and formerly of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 12, 2013, at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Bellefontaine on Aug. 20, 1962, to Roscelle Clark, who survives in Bellefontaine, and the late Beverly Mae Deslandes Clark, who preceded him in death Dec. 16, 1995.
He also was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Hamilton, Valarie Hamilton and Phillip Clark.
Also surviving are siblings, Karen (Kirk) Clark Lewis, Karla Clark and Roscelle (Pam) Clark II, all of Bellefontaine, Kim (Sidney) Clark Slaughter of Lewis Center, and Barbara Feagins of Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rod worked at Sears in Bellefontaine and also in Long Beach for a few years. He then worked for Abbey Company for three years, Office Depot for 21 years and recently for Long Beach Transit Services.
A 1981 Bellefontaine High School graduate, he enjoyed the ocean, sand and healthy life style.
Pastors Dan Steepe and Frank McCullough officiate a funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, where calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial is in the Highland Memorial Cemetery.
