Raymond “Ray” Joseph Freisthler, 55, of DeGraff, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Heartland of Bellefontaine, one day short of the one-year anniversary of the death of his loving wife Pat, whom he married April 23, 1983.
He was born in Sidney on March 23, 1958, to the late Gene and Betty Jean Daniels Freisthler. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Freisthler; and an infant brother, Ronald.
Survivors include brothers, James (Sue) Freisthler of Sidney, Robert (Cathy) Freisthler of Lima and Donald (Rhonda) Freisthler of Botkins; sisters-in-law, Debra K. Saxton, Karen Sue Strayer and Kathy Jo (Ben) Gantz, all of West Liberty; a brother-in-law, David L. (Martha) Bishop of Urbana; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Cody and Tippy, and cat Ritty Rat.
Ray was employed at HBD/Thermoid Inc. in Bellefontaine as a lift truck driver for more than 30 years. He was a graduate of Botkins High School and a 1977 graduate of Upper Valley Joint Vocational School in Piqua.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine. A private family graveside services are in Middleburg Cemetery.
