Margaret J. “Peg” Horne, 73, of Russells Point, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
Peg was born in Logan County on Aug. 1, 1940, to the late Arthur Johns and Tressie Florine Miller Herring. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Junior Lee and Bernard Allen, and a sister, Janet Cook.
On July 19, 1957, she married Cecil Horne Jr., in Mt. Victory and he survives, along with six children, John Horne of Lakeview, Ginger Foster and Janet (Bill) Haynes, both of Russells Point, Linda (Jeff) Crisp and Bill (Michele) Horne, both of Bellefontaine, and Leslie Kay (Russell) White of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Bernard Vance of Lincoln, Neb., and David (Doris) Herring, Dora Loggains and Tom (Janice) Herring, all of Lakeview.
Peg was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, reading and working puzzles and crosswords.
Per Mrs. Horne’s wishes, her body was cremated and a memorial service is at a later date.
