Anthony A. Amerine, 67, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, in a veteran’s hospital in Sparks, Nev.
He was a son of the late Gerald Amerine and Mabel Stevenson Amerine. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Amerine, and a sister, Linda Amerine Ricketts.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Amerine of Sparks, Nev.; a son, Justin Amerine; daughter, Natacha Amerine Woods; two sisters, Terry Amerine and Sharon Amerine Henry; four brothers, Larry Amerine, Greg Amerine, Duane Amerine and Cory Amerine; and many nieces and nephews.
He volunteered two terms in Vietnam with the U.S. Army, Co. C., known as the Blue Spaders. He then joined the U.S. Navy and retired from service.
Pastor Gene Phelps leads a service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Rushsylvania United Methodist Church.
